I just received my brook trout mount and I had to write you to say again, what a wonderful trip I had to the McKenzie River Lodge. As you know, my goal was to catch a 5lb + brook trout. The thing that really surprised me though, was how many trout over 5 lbs I landed. Much of the credits must go to Dany (my guide) for his patience, and on the stream instruction, which was a major factor to my success.

Looking back I don't think I would change anything. The cabins were comfortable, the food delicious and the fshing well beyond expectations. I did't set out thinking I would also catch landlocked salmon up to nearly 8 lbs, trophy pike and even one lake trout on my fly rod, but I have the pictures to prove it!

" Bayard and I have experienced some excellent fly fishing together in the past, but nothing like the 'double' of an 11 lb 2 oz and 10 lb 3 oz salmon taken on the McKenzie River.
