The McKenzie River is the outlet of Andre Lake.
The first rapid is reached by a short walk and travel to the second and third rapid is done by freighter canoe. Much of the river is fished by wading and casting into pools, eddies and riffles. All fish that spawn in this area pass through the McKenzie River and Andre Lake. Brook Trout to 5+ pounds, Landlocked Salmon to 10+ pounds, Lake Trout to 15+ pounds Whitefish and occasional Pike are caught.
The wading in the McKenzie can prove a little chalenge and wadding staff and studded boots are recommended. The reward's are worth the effort.
